In 2017 I sent an email that would kickstart my wildest fangirl dreams.✨ (The anniversary of sending that email is coming up on 04/06.) From working with so many of my favorite artists, endless studio sessions, a handful of tours, dozens of shows & everything else in between... That convo last night allowed me to reflect on it all.
From being soooo quiet, harboring my inner fangirl so I wouldn’t be “doing too much” to expressing all of those emotions through my passion & work ethic. I’ve gained so many wonderful friendships over the years whom I will always look at as my lifelong brothers & sisters. Wonderful mentors who are looked at as my “industry parents” who guide me with the best intentions.
It’s crazy how you can be thinking in one moment “I have so much more to do” and even though that’s true, it’s nice to reflect on how far I’ve come as well.
If 2017 Irene could see me now, she’d cry. And I know little Irene is BEAMING with joy for being herself in all forms no matter what room she’s in. 🥲
