Pine needle cleaning solution. Forage for 3 handfuls of wild pine needles. Remove needles from woody branches and pack tightly into a large glass jar. Pour part 2 vinegar and part 1 of water into the jar and place in a sunny window for 7 days. No more drugs over the counter as I know how make herbal medicine and understand it. Natural painkillers and antibiotics, heart medicine, fever reducers, gut healers, anxiety fighters, brain and memory elixirs and so much more! We have become weak and dependent. If tomorrow, we wake up to a world without electricity, without running water, refrigeration, pharmacies, cars, phones or supermarkets and other modern conveniences, there is no telling how many of us will survive. While the world drifts further and further away from Nature I believe the answer lies in going the other way. Not only for your health, but also for your mental well-being. Healing with plants is gentle as it respects your inner body chemistry, but that does not mean it can’t be very powerful at the same time.

Winter is a time of rest and hibernation, of waiting for the light to return.
Just like seeds that wait silently in the ground, full of potential, we can just ‚be’.
During the dark months, plants submerge their energy into their roots.
We can learn much from the seed and the natural environment. We too are a natural part of the earth and are affected by the seasons. We would do well to go with the flow of these natural cycles.
It is not a time for doing too much. We need to slow down and pace ourselves, to preserve our energy – our energy levels are not as dynamic as during warmer months.

My children love kefir. Tibetan mushroom (kefir mushroom, Tibetan kefir grains) are bacterial cultures that look like cauliflower florets and are used to ferment milk. The final product is Tibetan kefir, whose properties and healing effects have been appreciated for millennia by Tibetan monks and others. It has so many healing properties that it will be difficult to describe in one post. Kefir is delicious and combined with my milk straight from our cows it is probably some kind of Gods Liquid . 🙌

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) has many incredible benefits. It is made through the process of fermentation and contains great amounts of phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, and calcium. Hippocrates is believed to have prescribed ACV for various health issues.

* Regulating blood sugar
* Weight loss
* Digestion
* Strengthening the immune system
* High blood pressure
* Sore throat or congestion
* Getting rid of infection
* Increasing energy
Most of the ACV you find in the supermarket is pasteurized and highly filtered.

Ingredients:
* organic apple scraps
* 2 TBSP organic cane sugar (you can find it here)
* 2 cups water (filtered)
Directions
* Fill a sterilized quart jar with clean apple peels and cores. If you are using whole apples, simply chop them up before you put them in the jar.
* Dissolve organic cane sugar (here) into the cup of water. The sugar is needed to feed the yeast, but most of it is fermented out at the end.
* Pour sugar water over the apples until they are completely submerged. Add more water to the jar if needed to ensure that the apple scraps are completely covered.
* Weigh down the apples with the small glass jar. Any apples that are exposed to the air could mold.
* Cover the mouth of the jar with a coffee filter or a cheesecloth, then screw on the outer ring of the lid.
*
* Store in a dark area at room temperature for 2-3 weeks, stirring the mix once a day to help with proper fermentation and to prevent mold from forming.
*
* After 3 weeks, when you notice some fizz and a great amount of bubbles on the surface, strain out the scraps.
* Put the liquid back in the jar, cover with a cheesecloth or a coffee filter, and let it sit.
* Taste the mix once a week. When it reaches the desired acidity level,  transfer to a closed bottle to stop the fermentation.
* You can keep it for a year in the refrigerator.

4 lbs apples about 12, cored & quartered
▢ 1 orange quartered and unpeeled
▢ 3 cinnamon sticks
▢ 1 tsp whole cloves
▢ 1 tsp allspice berries
▢ ½ tsp ground nutmeg or 1 whole nutmeg
▢ ¼ cup light brown sugar (or honey, dark brown sugar, maple syrup, coconut sugar, etc.)
▢ 10-12 cups water Put apples, orange, cinnamon sticks, cloves, cinnamon sticks, ground nutmeg and brown sugar in the container of a slow cooker (at least 5 quarts).
Pour water over the ingredients in the crock pot until covered by about ½” (this is usually about 10 cups water), stir with a wooden spoon to combine.
Turn crockpot on to high and cook the mixture for 4 hours.
After 4 hours, remove the orange pieces and discard them.
Then, use a potato masher to mash the cooked apples (this should be easy to do).
Continue cooking on high for an additional 1 hour, with the lid about halfway ajar.
Strain the mixture through a fine metal sieve into a large glass bowl (I use an 8 cup batter bowl, this recipe makes about 8 cups or 2 L).
Gently press out the liquid from the apple mixture in the strainer into the bowl. (note: if you have a smaller strainer you may need to do this in a few batches. Discard the apple/spice mixture after you have pressed the liquid out, then repeat with another portion).

Store in a glass jar with a lid for up to 1 week.
