Friday, the 22nd of December 2023 at 02:57 Father Christmas has just released a statement saying that you can follow his progress On Christmas morning really early hours of the morning he will have a busy time this year around the world. NASA is streaming Live updates as well, hope everybody gets what they asked for. Also remember, leave some mince pies and some milk for the reindeers. Please don’t leave any spirits because he may get caught drinking and flying.
All have a wonderful Christmas.

We've just received word from dispatchers at the North Pole that final preparations are underway for a once-a-year flight this weekend. And thanks to Santa's use of an ADS-B equipped sleigh, you'll be able to track his flight on Flightradar24.

Today, we lost a good caring loving soul. Cathie aka ‘Mom’ on our many Zello channels past away of Cancer. She delivered weather and assisted us on our CARRET/CCWRT/True Rescue/Skynet, DC/The national emergency channel and a lot more on Zello channel during fires as well as many other hurricane channels. I’ve personally worked with her for almost 5 years. My heart is heavy and my prayers are with her family. James from across the pond in England is so appreciative of what she gave to us. RIP Mom

A G1 (Minor)
Power systems: weak power grid fluctuations can occur.
Spacecraft operations: minor impact on satellite operations possible.
Other systems: migratory animals are affected at this and higher levels; aurora is commonly visible at high latitudes (northern Michigan and Maine).**
Kp=5 1700 per cycle
(900 days per cycle)

** For specific locations around the globe, use geomagnetic latitude to determine likely sightings (see www.swpc.noaa.gov/Aurora)

A G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm watch is in effect for the 3 September, 2023, UTC-day. A filament erupted from the Sun on 30 August and an associated asymmetric, partial halo coronal mass ejection (CME) was detected detected soon afterwards in NASA/SOHO LASCO coronagraph imagery. The CME was extensively analyzed and modeled. Results were fairly consistent that an Earth-directed component is likely, however, confidence is lower with regards to intensity and timing. G1 events are common throughout a solar cycle and typically the main impact is the aurora may extend further south and possibly become visible along the horizon of far northern tier states of the northeast and upper Midwest. Storm surge can cause major damage to your home and pose a significant threat for drownings - making it one of the greatest threats to life and property from a hurricane. Listen to local officials and evacuate immediately if told to do so. If you’re not in an evacuation zone, be sure to stay away from floodwaters and never drive through water-covered roads.
