On our recent trip to California for New Year's, Mom had purchased Dad a helicopter tour for their Anniversary and Christmas present. Best thing was is that us puppies got to go too! At first we sported our new ear protection from in case it was loud in there but the helicopter was well insulated and we ended up not needing them.
Thanks to for allowing us well behaved dogs to fly with you! (Vivian says sorry for all the hair!)

We feel thankful we got to see the landscape before these fires hit the area and our hearts go out to all those affected.

Our most recent trip took us to 10 National Park Service locations.

Swipe to see Beacon and Vivian working on their Junior Ranger books! We will do Junior Ranger for parks that don't have BARK Ranger for the puppers!

Beacon is a service dog for Dad and is permitted more places in some parks where pets are not allowed. Some of these parks are not pet friendly to dogs on the grounds but can ride in your car. Always check the nos.gov site for information regarding pets and if they are allowed. Some of these parks Miss Vivian just took a picture at the sign and rode through the park with us.

Vivian and Beacon love being able to run off leash on travel days! This is at the dog park at the visitor center of off I-40. Don't forget to get your pups a BARK Ranger Tag from the Visitor Center so they know what the rules are for dogs in the park!

Took the puppers to see the drive thru holiday lights last night in Albuquerque! Little disappointed in the drive thru portion for the cost compared to other cities we have done drive thru displays but the pups seemed to enjoy all the lights!

Today we got to explore Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas National Park. We took the Yankee Freedom III Ferry from Key West. Beacon was a good sport and did excellent on the 2 1/2 hour ride there each way! He earned another Junior Ranger badge there as well!

It's Beacon's First Birthday! Happy Birthday little guy! Some facts about this guy: He has traveled over 22000 miles/33500 km with us through 33 States and 5 Provinces. He has been to 23 US National Park Sites and 21 Canadian National Park Sites and has 7 BARK Ranger tags! He has been on Buses, Trains, Ferries and Kayaks! He hiked to the Southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail in Georgia and traveled by car to the end of the International Appalachian Trail in Forillon National Park, QC. He is currently in training @assistancedogs to become an Assistance Dog to Dad. He has done a lot in his first year, can't wait to see what's next!
