Why have Americans become so divided?
I often wondered that but lately have come to the conclusion it’s because we are lazy and stupid. We don’t want things to disturb or push us out of our comfort zone.
Americans would rather believe a comforting lie that supports their agenda VS. being told the truth that would cause them to reevaluate their ideas or change a view.
Why have friendships and families been torn apart over political belief? Why can’t we still respect and be friends with someone who has a differing view?
We can.
But we are being told by media, politicians and anyone with a platform that different views and ideas are the enemy.
Media wants to fuel the flame because it increases viewership.
Viewership =$$
Politicians want you to feel this way so they you have an enemy they can fight.
A cause =Votes
Votes = election =$$
“Keep me in power to fight for you.”
-A nonprofit research firm conducted an experiment. It showed that voters in both camps hold dramatically distorted views of the opposing side. On average, politically active people overestimate the number of voters who hold extreme views by 25 percentage points. In other words — we are fighting ghosts.
Isn’t it alarming that all sides of the political side publish and push BS stories Facts are distorted and facts checkers need facts checkers. Mad-Tv is more creditable now than 99.99% of all news.
Why?
Because it’s all part of the big picture to divide Americans so they can make money selling a BS product and tell you the other side is bad so “vote for me, I’ll fight for you”.
Tune in tonight to hear us tell you what makes you feel good and more superior than the other side.
It all translates into money for them. Either election or viewership it’s all just $$$
20yrs ago people had different political views and still managed to be friends,
What changed? We’re told the other side is the enemy. they aren’t! We are all Americans. We all want the best for our families. If we turned off the media, and politicians, stopped yelling at each other over facts that are probably wrong to begin with we would find we have more in common than we realized.
