Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

To honor Dr. King on his nationally recognized holiday, we're sharing several of our favorite films that highlight the civil rights movement and pioneers that have contributed to securing more equality for Black folks, and the world overall. We at believe that entertainment can educate and inspire. Both of which we experienced working on the Black publicity and promotions campaign for in 2014. It still holds a special place in our hearts as one of the most poignant films about THE movement. If you're looking for more inspiring entertainment today check out Selma or three of our other favorite films: , and .

New logo…New Season…New Format of BLK ON THE SCENE. We’re back and dropping THIS Wednesday, 11/17 - HERE WE GO!

When we launched back in June for the first season, we had no idea what we we’re doing or what to expect on this journey, we just wanted to share our love of BLACK entertainment and authentic representation of our culture. We did mostly everything ourselves including the first logo, BUT this season we had to step it up and get an actual professional graphic designer (shoutout to Matt Herndon Sr.) to hook us up…and boieeeee did he! We absolutely ADORE the new logo and think it truly reflects the goal we have for shining a bright light on the industry and people we love in it.

Please let us know what you think...and remember to be kind…we are sensitive about our ish ☺️!
