Paul Mahre district 3 Commissioner candidate responds on his website to PDC claims by Norm Smith friend and supporter of John Gentle.

Smith is a very frequent poster on FANSS and claims to be for hire in past post. He is well known with the PDC staff for making claims that are usually always dismissed by the PDC.

Democrats Delegate Selection Process Changes Due to COVID-19

​The selection of delegates to the state and federal Democratic conventions has changed due to COVID-19; selection was originally planned to take place in a caucus format. Those who voted in the Democratic primary election, live in Pend Oreille County, and wish to serve as a delegate for Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden must now register online and will be selected by Precinct Committee Officers (PCOs) on a digital ballot.

Delegates who successfully navigate the selection process have the possibility of representing Washington State at the Democratic National Convention this August where they will vote on the national Democratic platform and vote for their candidate. To register as a delegate for Sanders or Biden, go to https://wademscaucus2020.azurewebsites.net and register no later than April 24. If you are not able to register yourself online, contact the Pend Oreille County Democrats at (870) 530-1927 or at [email protected] and someone will assist you.

​The Pend Oreille County Democrats typically meet the second Sunday of each month but are currently on hiatus due to social distancing guidelines. Check their website, podemocrats.com, for a calendar of events.
