Our final call is out for our Thanksgiving system, expecting higher elevations to be in 1-3" with higher amounts north of I-80 (higher elevations). These totals only go through Saturday morning and doesn't cover the entire lake effect event that'll happen after this. We should also note that the higher elevations in our 1-3" will be transitioning over to plain rain with this system so it won't stay as entirely snow. Best chance for all snow will be on the PA/NY border at this time.

We've gone ahead and issued our first call snowfall map regarding our Thanksgiving Winter Storm, expecting a general 1-3" with 3-5" in the higher elevations north of I-80. Keep checking back for the forecast as these totals may shift

We are closely monitoring the potential for a Wintry Mix on Thanksgiving Day across portions of the state, we'll release a map once we feel confident enough, but if you have plans to be traveling on Thursday make sure you keep an eye on the forecast.

When it comes to elevation based events the rule of thumb is to expect little in the valleys and higher totals in the higher elevations, and that's how things turned out across the state. When making the final call forecast I was under the impression that there would be the potential for a quick 1-3" in the Middle Susquehanna Valley with it being on the lower end, that didn't verify and I apologize for that. The Wyoming Valley received some decent snowfall as well as areas of Columbia County, higher elevations of Northeastern Pennsylvania walked away with over a foot of snow in spots. For those that didn't get any snow we're heading into an active pattern as we approach Thanksgiving and we'll be monitoring the potential for another Winter Storm risk by weeks end. TL;DR - Our forecast went wrong in the Middle Susquehanna Valley but overachieved in the higher elevations of Northeastern PA.

We're getting closer to our first *elevation dependent* Winter Storm of the season, and with that here's our second call forecast. We've gone ahead and increased some totals for some mountains over Central PA but the valleys remain in C-1". Final call tomorrow if needed.
