Here we go again with yet another wintry slop scheduled for Saturday into Sunday morning across the Commonwealth, here's our first call maps regarding the snow totals and the ice accumulations. We'll release our final call maps tomorrow night.

We've gone ahead and made our final call maps for tomorrow night into Thursday mornings Wintry Mix across portions of the Commonwealth. We're expecting minor accumulations for both snow and freezing rain. This'll transition to plain rain Thursday morning.

We've shifted totals south a smidge for our final call forecast regarding Tuesday into Wednesdays system. Generally expecting a quick coating to 3" in Southern PA with higher totals the closer you get to the PA-MD border.

We're closely watching a quick moving system that'll bring some light snowfall to the southern tier, higher totals the closer you get to Maryland but overall this won't be anything significant. We're watching to see if there's any last minute shifts north, but this is our going forecast.

Good morning, here's our final call maps for this weekends Winter Storm, we've lowered snowfall totals across portions of the state where we expect more icing will occur, ice accumulations will range from 0.01" to .25" through most of the state, 3-6" snow in Northeastern PA with 1-3" across most of Northern Pennsylvania. Please be cautious during this storm, timing looks to be after sunset tomorrow night.

Confidence has increased to release our first call maps for this weekends Winter Storm, expecting a general 3-6" of snow for areas in Northeastern PA with 1-3" in portions of Central PA, ice accumulations .1"-.25" in Southern PA with most of the state getting .01"-.10".

We're monitoring yet another Wintry Mix this weekend across most of the Commonwealth, there's still some uncertainty regarding who's going to receive what, but the potential is there for a light to moderate snowfall event across Northern PA. Potential ice storm in Southern PA. We'll be releasing our first call map by late tonight or early tomorrow morning once we get a better idea on what we're going to expect, but winter weather is likely this weekend. Remain weather aware, and check back as we get closer to the event.

Some minor adjustments to our final call forecast including a dotted circle zone where we anticipate some sleet/snow mixing in (generally 1-3") which could limit ice totals in this region but overall expect a Wintry Mix to impact tomorrow night heading into Thursday morning. Widespread closings are likely due to poor timing. We're also tracking another storm potential by the weekend.

We're heading into an active pattern featuring some ice storm potentials and some snowstorm potentials and that begins with our system on Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Most of this looks to be a freezing rain event for Central Pennsylvania but this could stay as sleet/snow for areas in Eastern Pennsylvania. Here's our first call ice accumulation map heading into Thursday morning, school delays/closings are likely. We'll update our map tomorrow if needed, be prepared!

Punxsutawney Phil has forecasted 6 more weeks of winter, and we agree with this forecast... We have snow today for parts of the state with a wintry mix arriving mid-late this week and more winter precipitation potentials afterward!

Here's our final call map, there will be a sharp cutoff to the northwest on who will receive totals, but overall we're feeling confident with our original call... Just some minor adjustments. We're looking at an Arctic Blast arriving behind this storm.

Our first call snowfall map has been released for this upcoming weekend, we don't expect major shifts with these totals... There'll be a sharp cutoff to the northwest but overall we're feeling pretty good with our forecast. If needed, we'll release our final call by tomorrow afternoon.

We've gone ahead and made a snowfall map for tomorrow night into Saturday mornings light event, a general C-3" across the board depending on location. We do not anticipate to change these totals at all so this will be our final call.

7pm Weather Update: It's still looking like the storm will be staying for the most part south of the Commonwealth, I would anticipate the lower end on the final call map as shown below. Our final call for the most part still stands, just lower expectations.

Looking at current radar observations, it appears that this system is further south than we initially thought, meaning that totals are likely further south than what this map shows, still early to say though but we may miss out on this storm entirely. Stay tuned.

We've decided to increase snow totals near the PA-MD border for Sunday night through Mondays snowstorm. We'll see if we'll need to update this map in a final call by tomorrow afternoon, but I would plan on accumulating snowfall I-80 south.
