The Nevada high desert: where challenge meets beauty, and every ridge could hide a buck. This spot-and-stalk mule deer hunt tested my skills and patience, but sometimes, you get lucky. First spot, first stalk, first shot of the season - and my dad right there to see it all come together. Couldn't ask for a better start or a more meaningful moment.

Brandon and I have been diggin our . We both made our own arrow wrap designs for our hunting arrows and I even added some other decals to my PSE… which is proven to make you shoot 10x better AND make you more of a successful bowhunter..

Silent steps, ultimate comfort!

I think we have found the ultimate match made in stalking heaven.. As I am sure you know, Brandon and I are big fans of stalking moccasins for archery hunting. We recently got to try some Alpaca Hunting Socks as well, and these two paired together have been insanely comfortable! We are looking forward to spending more time with this pair this year, so check back with us later this year for a more in-depth video review of our experience.

Well it wasn’t pretty but I got it done on my target buck I’ve kept my eye on since spring. His travel was very random, so I knew it was gonna be a “right place at the right time” situation. Needless to say, I wasn’t ready. He surprised me the morning of the 30th and it must have been amateur hour because I rushed my shot and hit him further back than I wanted. I blood trailed him for a few hours. The color was good but not enough to feel great about. After crawling around for about 100 yards the trail went cold and I decided to give him till morning in case he was bedded nearby.

We recently moved to North Idaho and my rescue dog has really shown an interest in chasing the does and fawns that frequent our yard and sniffing around where they hang out so I thought, maybe her nose could help me out. I brought her to the last blood I could find and she took to it like she’d been blood trailing for years. She found him minutes later piled up in some thick timber about 30/40 yards from where I lost the trail. Needless to say I’ve never been more proud of her and thankful to find this awesome buck.

Here is a version 2 of a stylescape. Stylescapes are a great project for the beginning of a new calendar years marketing strategy. Stylescapes are a collection of actual brand assets – colors, typography, images, language tone, design elements etc. – combined together to provide an overall visual aesthetic of a brand.

Unlike moodboards, which are often collected with little thought about the strategy and positioning of a brand; they are simply visual inspiration for one element of the visual identity. A stylescape is created to convey how things could look as a whole rather than the individual elements.

Looking to improve your branding in 2024? Maybe a stylescape would be a good foundational project to start the year off in the right direction.

A personal crucible for me will forever be western big game hunting with my bow. No matter how many animals I harvest with my bow, the feeling of accomplishment when everything finally comes together after many unsuccessful attempts is always an overwhelming one. I am truly grateful to harvest this awesome buck.

Always had a love/hate with sunglasses. I never wanted to spend big on glasses cause they would always end up broken or bugging the hell out of me. These Defiance glasses from are the real deal though. I wear them everyday and man can they take a beating! The fit is great, they don’t fog up in the mornings and are surprisingly tough!!
