Hello friends,
I have been getting a lot of questions about if or when the store will be reopening. I'm happy to say that after a bit of a hiatus I'm going to be reopening the Etsy store at the end of the week.
I wanted to give an update on how things will be changing and why I closed the store to begin with.
Previously we had been working with a print-on-demand model, meaning when you placed an order, that order would go into cue to be printed.
Because it was just me I was constantly trying to fill a back log and also constantly falling behind. This led to an experience for our customers that was not at all up to our standards.
Moving forward we will be changing that model to keep stock of our more popular items so that they are already available to ship, like a more traditional store. A few items will remain as print-on-demand and have longer lead times but largely that will not be the case.
I've already started production runs on most of the 1/4 and 1/6 scale weapons and will finish up the rest this week. I hope this will make the process run more smoothly and deliver a better experience overall.

We have the life size (wearable or display versions) of both the Loki President Crown and the Sylvie Crown up as kits on Etsy and eBay!

We will be offering them as complete, painted and display/wear ready props in the near future... but if you fancy painting them your selves you can pick them up now!

Photopolymer Resin is easy to paint and has great finish quality, so you don't have to do much (if any) cleanup like you do with FDM prints.

Our first life size prop replica / cosplay item is available for purchase in our store!

I'm sure you Riddick fans out there will recognize the Irgun Blade, the knife used by Riddick to kill Lord Marshal of the Necromongers in the final scene of the Chronicles of Riddick!

It is available now as a raw print and can easily be painted to match the movie version, or in the very near future you will be able to purchase it as a finished replica painted to match the screen used blade.

We have been radio silent for some time now, and some of you may have seen our Etsy store was also closed... I would like to take a moment to explain why.

Back before Prop Labs was even a thing... my wife and I loved nerd culture and the idea of being able to share some part of people's Fandom and hobby pursuits. This is why we started Prop Labs in the first place.

On April 18th my wife Jess was taken from us in a terrible tragedy.
She was an incredible mother, an incredible wife, and an incredible friend. She was such an incredible person. So incredible in fact, that I'm sad to say if you didn't have the chance to know her, I really can't begin to tell you adequately. Words simply fall short.
I gave a lot of consideration to abandoning Prop Labs. It was a dream we had together, and at first it was too painful to even consider carrying on.
But I have come to believe that carrying on is the right choice, even if it is painful today. I know that is what Jess would have wanted. She loved to help people create... in whatever form that might take. Prop Labs is an extension of that love, and so it must carry on.

Back before it all started this was Jess's first print, which she named "Lefty", because his left arm MAY have gotten lost some where along the way. I wanted to share this memory with all of you, and say thank on behalf of my wife... one last time.
Thank you for sharing your projects, ideas and passion with us. I know she considered it a honor to be a part of them.

We carry on in her memory and hope you will continue to allow us to help you create whatever it is that you love.

It has been a while since we posted a Work-in-process.... This is a pretty awesome project we are currently working on for a client. We (And he) are really excited to see it finished! It is a piece of miniature gaming terrain and will have 3 levels when done which can be removed for game play.

A quick update from the lab! Jess is checking in on our first full scale Doom slayer helmet! and after 60+ hours of printing it is clear that either our slicing software doesn't know which way forward is... or maybe I don't lol. Other than that things are looking good!

Our first prints on the EPAX 3D X156 and X10 came out great! Some minor issues on the helmet... but I think it was actually a model issue. Our first impressions are that they are great printers and we are excited to get more into using these and do a full review.
