Be careful in your season of hurt…

Hurt and broken people often take out their hurt and sorrows on other people. We live in a broken and imperfect world. Though we live in this broken and cursed world and hurting people can/will hurt us, if and when they do, we HAVE A CHOICE how we respond to others. We cannot control others, but we can control ourselves. Hurting other people is not going to solve any problem or cure anyone. Two broken hearts never solved anything.

We cannot control others…

Scripture tells us we are not to curse those who curse us. Instead, let us be a reflection of God’s character and demonstrate a willingness to forgive those that have hurt you, so you don't desire to hurt others in return.

•Reflect God’s character, who loves His enemies (Romans 5:8)

•Demonstrate a willingness to forgive and release the hurt (Matthew 6:14-15)

•Open ourselves to receiving God’s blessings and forgiveness (Luke 6:37)

•Align ourselves with God’s kingdom and purposes (Matthew 5:45)

I encourage you to seek wise counsel, not someone who is going to tell you what you want to hear, but rather someone who can guide you through the process (even if it's going to bruise your ego along the way), so you can be a representation of who Christ is.

Why, because that every last thing we experience, good and bad, has been allowed by God. Criticism breaks down, encouragement builds up!!!

This helped me greatly today. I have been dealing with a few hurt people for 9 years and another terribly hurt people for the last 4 years. I hope this helped you today as much as it did me…

Jesus reminds us in John 16:33 that the world will bring us tribulation but in Him we have peace, calm, and reassurance.

Apart from Him, there will be struggles. In Him we will have peace in the midst of these struggles.

We can't control the world, but we can control Who we turn to when it all feels like too much.

Pray with me:
Lord, help remind my heart you have overcome this world and there is peace in you no matter what is going on around me. The hope you bring gives us the peace our soul needs. Jesus, you are always my peace, and I am so grateful.

In this world, I can be many of things, though, I think meekness and humility, especially in all circumstances and in walking in love with others, is a daily choice and something I'd like to improve upon…

When the fruit of the Spirit,
starts producing in you
love and joy will be seen
in all that you say and do.

From there they will bring,
peace and forbearance
that will last you until . . .
Jesus’ next appearance.

When the fruit of the Spirit,
produces in you gentleness
it will give rise to more faith
in all of God’s goodness.

From there it will grow,
meekness and temperance
so people will see in you . . .
a Jesus resemblance.

When the fruit of the Spirit,
starts producing in you . . .
there will be no law against
the things in you it can do!

~~~~~~~~
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against
such there is no law.
Lord, today I want to say,
just how I am feeling
how Your love for me
brought me inner healing.
You’ve been so good to me,
though I was not worthy
yet, You still lavished on me
endless amounts of mercy.
Lord, I want to tell You,
how much I’m grateful
for every perfect gift
to You I am so thankful.
You’ve blessed me with,
the faith in Your grace
so that I would not be
left out of the race.
Lord, today I need to say,
just how much I love You
how my heart felt gratitude
thanks You for all you do!
The Beauty Within
The beauty we have
Is found within
And is more than a pretty face
It's the beauty of God
And is only found
In His love and transforming grace
The world only looks
At the outward shell
And not on what's there inside,
But God will reveal
The beauty within
As the beauty of Jesus Christ
God’s Grace is Sufficient:
In God’s holy, written word we read,
His grace is sufficient to meet every need.
How clear this truth is brought into view,
When trials come, and so often they do.
It’s in these times, to Him we flee,
Bowing in submission, on bended knee.
We then become His softened clay,
Ready for molding, as humbly we pray.
Heartache, tragedy, disappointment, and pain,
Are the Potter’s tools for our spiritual gain.
Whatever hardships we encounter each day
Only conform us to His will and way.
Our Lord walks with us, as we go through it all,
Many times carrying us, lest we should fall;
And that truth which we simply believed before,
Now comes into focus even more;
For the written words on the pages we see
Have truly become a reality -
And we know more fully what it’s all about...
God’s Grace Is Sufficient without a doubt !!!
Sharing from my friend, Amy:
Dear Fellow Believers. It’s time to draw a line in the sand. Should believers in the Word of God celebrate, honor or acknowledge any form of Halloween?
Typically, I shy away from what some might see as “controversial” posts, leaning towards focusing on what is holy, righteous and good!
However, this time of year, the topic of Halloween is one that is hard to avoid. I wanted to start off by stating this post is in no way trying to judge or condemn, but one that is lovingly trying to highlight what the Word of God has to say.
For me, like many in the Christian Faith, we at one time believed that it was our duty to “Christianize” all things, bringing Christ to the center and meaning of any day, event, etc. While this may sound good on the surface, is it truly what we are called to do? The approach we should take? Is it even biblical?
Over the last decade, reading through the Scriptures, I’ve been greatly convicted about what the Word of God has to say regarding this subject.
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! - Isaiah 5:20
Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.
- Ephesians 5:11
Test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil.
- 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22
This is what the LORD says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations. - Jeremiah 10:2
Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. - Romans 12:2
For the Scriptures say, "You must be holy because I am holy. - 1 Peter 1:16
Who can bring clean out of unclean? No one!
- Job 14:4
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. - Ephesians 6:12
A simple Google search will show that this day has nothing to do with the God of the Bible or the ways in which He calls His people to act. In fact it stands in direct opposition to all that is holy, righteous and good.
Sadly, participating in these traditions teach our children as well as the outside world observing us as believers, that it’s, “A OK” to compromise the Word of God. That it’s, “OK” to compromise on abstaining from evil, as long as it doesn’t appear evil or is “just for fun” because, “God knows my heart!”
Believers, we do not have to look like the world, in order to witness to the world about the God we serve! Instead, when we stand apart, separate, and holy, we will be most effective in being a light and showing Jesus (Yeshua) to the nations!
“This, Too, Will Pass”
This, too, will pass.
O heart, say it over and over,
Out of your deepest sorrow,
out of your deepest grief,
No hurt can last forever--
Perhaps tomorrow will bring relief.
This, too, will pass.
It will spend itself--
Its fury will die as the wind dies down
with the setting sun;
Assuaged and calm, you will rest again,
Forgetting a thing that is done.
Repeat it again and again,
O heart, for your comfort;
This, too, will pass
as surely as passed before
The old forgotten pain, and the other sorrows
That once you bore.
As certain as stars at night,
or dawn after darkness,
Inherent as the lift of the blowing grass,
Whatever your despair or your frustration--
This, too, will pass.
How can we find hope amid uncertainty, conflict, or loss?
When we feel we have lost hope, we may find inspiration in the words and deeds of others. It is a feeling we must develop and cultivate, but like faith, it is also a state with which we are graced. Hope can foster determination and grit—the ability to bounce back and to remain determined despite failures and setbacks—when we make daily efforts to change and improve what we can control.
“I believe that result is sure to follow holy conversation and sound preaching. Keep to the truth, and the modern school will give you a wide berth. But if any of you try the double-shuffle in religion- the plan of trying to believe a little of everything and not much of anything- if you try to hold with the hare and run with the hounds, you will be tempted to deadly error, and it will serve you right. In the temptation you will fall, for indeed you are fallen already. Keep the word of God, and the word of God will keep you. You will be shielded from half the temptations that fret and worry professors if you take your place and keep it against all comers.”
