A 28-year-old miner, Collins Adu, has been sentenced to one day imprisonment and a fine of GH¢ 8,400 by the Tarkwa Circuit Court. If he fails to pay the fine, he could face 7 years imprisonment with hard labour. Adu pleaded guilty to unlawful entry and stealing and requested forgiveness from the court. He was apprehended and arrested after sneaking into the complainant's house two weeks ago. Adu confessed to the crime and admitted to using the motorbike for errands.
