If you pay any attention to what Project 2025 wants, it WANTS a censorship bill to pass. And THIS is that bill! This proposed ban is just another attempt at their so called "Net Neutrality" BS and contains language that would allow them to circumvent the judicial system in order to ban apps as well as VPNs. So, even if you don't use tiktok, this concerns you.

It's S686 of the 118th Congress.

Not only that, but if you support small business owners, you would be seeing upwards of 5 MILLION small businesses go under quickly that use the platform to drive their customer base to them.

On top of that, 150 million tiktok users are in the United States. 150 million voices that have used the platform to rally for political, social, and mental health causes. 150 million people who have found their communities.

We should not stay silent and let them pass a fascist style bill that gives them free reign to ban apps they don't like.

Tiktok takes no more data than any other social media platform, and in fact, has yet to have any massive leaks of user data,unlike this platform.

Do your research. Know what that they are trying to silence us. Know that we should not accept that.

At this time, there is no other algorithm that organically pushes content as effectively as tiktok. And while we might bitch and moan about the algorithm being the algorithm, we still learn and grow better and faster on that app than on FB, Twitter, Instagram, etc.

Personally, I use tiktok to expand my reach for my twitch, by which I make money. I also found the gig DMing dnd that I have via a tiktok post one of my community members sent to me.

This is not okay. This is a slight against free speech. And if they cared about our data, they would be going after Apple, Google, Meta, etc. as well.

Write your congressional representatives. Call them. We can not let them do this.
