As I mentioned last month, optimism has been fleeting for me this year.

Due to my triple negative breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, it’s been challenging to meet with new businesses about partnership with the magazine and the magazine is suffering. Without new business partners, the magazine cannot sustain itself and grow so we can include more and more articles from you and your family.

🎻 Honoring a Legacy Through Music 🎶

This holiday season, celebrated cellist John-Henry Crawford performed at the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, using his grandfather Dr. Robert Popper’s cherished 200-year-old cello. The instrument, smuggled out of Austria during his grandfather’s flight from N**i persecution, carries a powerful story of resilience and hope.

🎄✨ A Sweet Celebration of the Season!

On a chilly December afternoon, the community gathered at Ed Kellum & Son for the annual holiday cookie decorating event! Laughter, creativity, and festive joy filled the air as neighbors of all ages turned plain cookies into edible works of art.

🎅 The highlight? A magical visit from Santa Claus, made possible by Tara Butler - In The Room Realty and Mark Herrell - Fairway Mortgage. Santa’s warm hugs and cheerful spirit lit up the day, while Mrs. Claus’ freshly baked cookies added extra sweetness!

The 2025 Dallas Symphony Orchestra League (DSOL) debutantes shined at a glamorous cocktail reception and dinner on November 27 at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.

🌟 Making a Difference in DFW! 🌟

The Highlander Chapter of Young Men’s Service League (YMSL) spent three days in September supporting Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) to help children in poverty.

🔨 177 high schoolers + moms dedicated 657 hours to build 50 beds for kids without beds to sleep in. Their hard work ensures "no child sleeps on the floor in our town."

✨ They also collected over 100 bedding sets to complete the beds.
