Shasta had a Lenticular most of the day but as it got closer to sunset the cloud got really impressive and as the sunset color struck the cloud it began to disintegrate in a unique and spectacular way sending tendrils down to the top of the mountain."

I went out to the Tree Of Life the other night to watch the peak of the Orionids Meteor Shower! I figured there is no better landmark that is facing the right direction than this wonderful tree that survives hanging on to the cliff by just its roots. 🥰

I spent almost 7 hours total out there waiting for the Meteor Shower to climax, I was blessed with this one massive Meteor that streaked right through my frame but that was the only Meteor I captured all night 😅

This happens more often than you might think. These things are very hard to predict and even though they estimated up to 20 meteors to streak through the night sky per hour, I only saw 3, and just one if them went through my frame.

But I am stoked for what I captured nonetheless ✨️ it was an incredibly bright Meteor with hints of green and orange 🤯 Even though I was cold and uncomfortable through the night, these experiences are worth it to me because I get to practice to increase the quality of my images.

During this time spent practicing, I had a breakthrough in understanding the techniques necessary to capture impeccable detail in a night time foreground. I am extremely pleased with how this photo turned out despite the struggles 🤩

When the sun hits the outside of these ice caves at Mt Rainier just right, they turn into rainbow ice caves!!! I could not believe my eyes 🤯 I went up to Mt Rainier specifically to explore the ice caves and never imagined they would be SO COLORFUL 🌈

BE WARNED these ice caves can be extremely dangerous and are constantly at risk of collapse!

I did not enhance the colors at all in the images I will share with you all!! It was really THAT COLORFUL!! I will post a video I took of the moment in the comments 😀 I never would have guessed that this existed in America much less so close to home!!! The hike really wasn't that difficult either!!!

We happened to be there at just the right time!! The colors lasted for about 2 hours then the vibrancy diminished as the day progressed!

I have so many more photos to show you all!! This was one of the best experiences of my life so I took a ton of photos that I can't wait to share!!

This was by far one of the most magical things I have ever witnessed!! Even though it was very cold exploring these ice caves I did not want it to end!! I can't wait to go back and explore some more!!! The beauty of the Pacific NorthWest is absolutely mind boggling!!! 😍

Hunger Stone : The recent droughts in Europe once again made visible the "Hunger Stones" in some Czech and German rivers. These stones were used to mark desperately low river levels that would forecast famines.

Seattle Becomes Largest U.S. City To Decriminalize Psychedelics!

Seattle’s City Council approved a resolution Monday to decriminalize noncommercial activity around a wide range of psychedelic substances, including the cultivation and sharing of psilocybin mushrooms, ayahuasca, ibogaine and non-peyote-derived mescaline for “religious, spiritual, healing, or personal growth practices.”

“These nonaddictive natural substances have real potential in clinical and therapeutic settings to make a really significant difference in people’s lives,” Councilmember Andrew Lewis, who introduced the resolution, said before the vote. “This resolution really sets the stage as the first significant action in the state of Washington to move this policy forward.”

“Entheogens, commonly known psychedelics, have been shown to benefit the well-being of individuals suffering from depression, severe anxiety, problematic substance use, post-traumatic stress, end-of-life anxiety, grief, and intergenerational trauma,” a press release from the councilman’s office said. “These and other physical and mental conditions are plaguing many communities, which have been further demonstrated to be exacerbated by the impact of COVID-19.”

The resolution was inspired in part by the City Council’s interest in reducing opioid-related deaths. Members in June formally asked a local task force studying the overdose crisis to examine “public policy governing psychedelic medicines.” Three months later, the task force recommended the city decriminalize psychedelics and consider removing criminal penalties around all drugs.
