The Cougar’s Byte is a Leadership and Service newsletter where students, faculty and staff will find information on all things related to student life at Kean University. The Cougar’s Byte is the Student Life Media Team that produces content to engage with students, faculty and staff on topics related to student life at Kean University. These students assist with making all decisions related to it

s publication, including making assignments, reporting, writing, taking photographs, copy editing, designing pages and distributing the paper throughout the campus community. Readers can also visit our website www.cougarsbyte.com to read more content articles, galleries and videos of campus activities. Plus our website host all articles and content from past years as well. Our readers include more than 15,000 students, faculty, and staff of Kean University, as well as prospective students, families, board members, higher education representatives from other colleges and universities, community leaders, government officials and others with an interest in the University. Meeting the needs of that diverse community is our guiding principle in everything from news play and content selection to editorial policy. The Cougar’s Byte writers cover all levels of campus government, academic issues, student activities and the people who work and study here.

Last week was packed with excitement and self-care! 🎉 Students enjoyed Midnight Breakfast with , took a breather at Tension Timeout hosted by with relaxing massages, and celebrated culture with the Roots of Haiti event by 🇭🇹 and Stroll for Your Culture by & 💃🏽. The vibes continued at the Cookout, and seniors got one step closer to graduation at the Grad Fair (Just 9 days until May 13!)

Celebrating success never felt so good! Our first-year students showed up and showed out at the Cohort 1: Fall 2024 Cougar Climb Completion Celebration for everyone who earned at least one badge. From grabbing their earned prizes, enjoying brunch by Manhattan Bagel, and connecting with each other, the energy was amazing. 🐾 Big congratulations to the student who won the iPad Pro 📱 for completing all six badges!
