January of 2017 presented Garrett with a life-altering occasion. He was diagnosed with Stage 2 Non-Seminoma Testicular Cancer. He had 2 options, drop out of school to focus on treatments and lose a year of schooling, or remain in school, employed, and mask the fight. Choosing mask the fight would be the shining the moment in his young career. Not only did Garrett remain enrolled, employed, and taking on treatments, he excelled in his ambition and graduated from WSU a semester early. Onto Port Angeles, Washington for an internship with the Lefties Baseball team, Garrett struck the idea that led to Probity & Candor. Using the techniques to build a portfolio around his significant other to boost her modeling career, he also realized that photography & digital branding could be used for more than just beautiful portraits. He could upscale local and small business social media accounts through the beauty of imagery and digital content. Thus, elaborate business plans and details were discussed and on January 29, 2018 Probity & Candor was created.
