We're beyond honored to have the world music icon Gao Hong, on our roster. A Chinese P**a Soloist, Composer, Improviser, and Educator.

Gao Hong, a master of the pear-shaped lute, the p**a, began her career as a professional musician at age 12. She graduated from China's premier music school, the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where she studied with the great p**a master Lin Shicheng. In both China and the U.S. Gao has received numerous top awards and honors, including First Prize in the Hebei Professional Young Music Performers Competition and an International Art Cup in Beijing. In 2005 Gao Hong became the first traditional musician to be awarded the prestigious Bush Artist Fellowship, and in 2019 she became the first musician in any genre to win five McKnight Artist Fellowships for Performing Musicians administered by MacPhail Center for Music. In 2018 she became the first Chinese musician to win a Sally Award from the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. In 2022, Mayor Melvin Carter of St. Paul proclaimed April 3, 2022 to be “Gao Hong Day in the City of St. Paul” in honor of her milestone concert at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts celebrating her “50 YEARS OF MAKING MUSIC WITH FRIENDS”. Her music was featured on "Performance Today" hosted by Fred Child.

Gigi is a singer, songwriter and producer from the Bay Area. Her self-produced album, “THORN” was released in November 2022. Gigi’s music is an ethereal mix of bedroom pop & gentle acoustics. With pensive lyrics that are open to interpretation, her songs tap into a wide range of emotions that generally go unnoticed.

This 21-year-old artist has been performing since age 8 seeking any chance to be on stage including musical theater, singing, and acting. She delivers emotional and captivating performances, with her heart-wrenching lyrics and pop anthem beats. Some of her performing credits include singing for a 49ers game at the Levi Stadium and playing the Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival.

Hank Harris is a South Dakota legend. He has played with The Red Willow Band, DD and the Fayrohs and many more bands over a career that has spanned decades. His work with the Deadwood Adams Museum included two CDs entitled Deadwood Songbook and a SDPB video nominated for a Midwest Emmy. He has also written soundtracks for two documentaries aired on Public Broadcasting. As a solo artist, his gifted singing and songwriting has gained him many fans, both in the Black Hills and abroad.
