Born Peylia Marsema Balinton, "Sugar Pie" DeSanto launched her career in Oakland. DeSanto performed frequently in West Oakland during the neighborhood’s heyday. She was born in Brooklyn, raised in San Francisco. Our congratulations to "Sugar Pie" on winning the prestigious Arhoolie Award for 2020.

We are happy to announce the upcoming release of "Help Me" and "Spellbound" by NIA recording artist, Onyx. There will be a record release set for tomorrow UK time. Our understanding is that the release is set for posting in the United Kingdom. The CD will be posted at 6 pm tomorrow October 4, 2020. Help Me and Spellbound were originally recorded in 1972 and released in the U.S.A. It is being re-released specifically in the U.K. by Super Disco Edits. The group "Onyx" was formed in 1972 the members, were Aaron and Wendell Basey, Malvin Scott, and Ronald Busby. Ronald left the group to pursue other interests and was replaced by Cornelius Weekly. Congratulations and best wishes to ONYX and Super Disco Edits on this endeavor.

Good morning to all. I pray your day is going your way. This coming Sunday, the 23rd of February, we will be at Antioch Baptist Church in San Jose, CA. The service begins at 10 a.m. We will be providing the music for the service and Rev. Ed. Harris of our group will be doing the Sermon. We are hopeful that your schedule will allow you to attend. The address of the Church is 268 East Julian St., San Jose, CA. We will be singing the Opening song, Praise and Worship, Fellowship song, a selection before the Sermon, Tithes, and Offering, and Invitation song. We have exceptional musicians helping us to enhance the worship experience of those in attendance. They are Prince Damons on Keyboard, Neil Castro lead guitar, Vernon Hall, Bass Guitar, and Marcus Bridges on Drum. See you on Sunday, we all will have a great worship experience.
