Analysis:
After tonight's win against Standing Rock, the CMC Cougars, Garrison Troopers, and Shiloh Skyhawks have identical regional records: 7-1.

With the approval of the three-class system yesterday, Shiloh will play in Class A next season.

That means CMC is the last class B team to beat Shiloh in the regular season.

And depending how the regional bracket shakes out, CMC Senior Ashtyn Smith may be the last CMC Cougar to sink a basket against longtime rival Shiloh. The epic three point buzzer-beater for the win at home handed Shiloh their only regional loss on the season.

Parker Ruffo and Jaxson Nienow work on their Lego creations during Lego Club at Turtle Lake-Mercer Public School, while Grayson Anderson and Jocelyn Voth negotiate a trade deal for their Legos. Held after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the club has 66 students total who participate in the popular program, with 47 attending last week. Read more in this weeks CMNJ!

From the ND Emergency Services:

This afternoon State Radio dispatchers were notified of an issue affecting callers using landlines to reach 9-1-1 in isolated areas across western North Dakota. Landline 9-1-1 callers will experience “dead air” when making calls. State Radio dispatchers are still able to receive location and phone number information from the caller and will immediately call back. Callers are being asked, if possible, to use a cell phone to call 9-1-1 until this issue is resolved.

The landline issues were initiated by a fiber cut about seven miles north of Bismarck. Currently, cell phone users are experiencing no issues and the 9-1-1 system is working as normal. The fiber cut is anticipated to be repaired by 6:30 p.m. tonight. This has not delayed dispatching emergency responders upon receiving information from 9-1-1 callers.
