More pets go missing on July 4th than any other holiday. Keep your pet safe by keeping them indoors during the festivities and providing them a calming environment away from loud noises.
It’s also it's hard for Veterans with PTSD to enjoy fireworks. If you have a family member who is a veteran, it's important to have a plan to help them if they are around fireworks so that they feel more relaxed and aren't feeling threatened.

🚧 Heads up! There's a lot going on in Tuscaloosa this weekend, and there will be several closed roads and the potential for increased traffic. Here's what you need to know about road closures if you're planning to drive anywhere:

◼️ Jack Warner Parkway will be closed from Crescent Ridge Road to the Tuscaloosa Amphitheatre from 5:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The road will close for the second day of the Duathlon from 5:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday.
A portion of Greensboro Avenue north of Third Street will also be closed during the same times, but people will be able to access businesses and residences in the immediate area. The Bryant Bridge will also be closed.

◼️ McFarland Boulevard will be closed in both directions at the Interstate 20/59 overpass due to construction.

◼️ We expect traffic for the NCAA softball regional tournament. Games start at 2 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
