Join JCM’s Dr. Elliot Panek at the Sidewalk Film Center in Birmingham on Sunday January 25th for a special screening of The Social Network (2010), which explores Zuckerberg’s early career. As part of the Science on Screen series, Dr. Panek will lead a post-screening discussion on the science of social media effects!

*AWARD ALERT* C&IS doctoral student and JCM Professor Dr. Shaheen Kanthawala won a top part award at the National Communication Association. C&IS PhD student and JCM graduate assistant, Lilian Onianwa, received the Top Research-In-Progress Paper award for her work titled: Temporal Dissociation and Digital Flow: A Multivariate Model of Cognitive and Affective Predictors of User Engagement Intensity on TikTok. This was part of the BEA On-Location conference in Denver.
