Survivors' Stories: Laura Booth, Saltillo
A lifelong resident of Louisville, Kentucky, Laura Booth moved to Lee County in 2021.
In March 2022, the day after accepting a job as librarian and volleyball coach at Ripley, she learned she had breast cancer. Two years later, Booth is the volleyball coach at Tupelo High School and is cancer free.
Survivors' Stories: Janet Wilder, Pontotoc
In her own words, Janet Wilder details a battle with breast cancer that began with a diagnosis at age 42.
As a wife, mother and teacher, she was fearful of falling short on her responsibilities. But through support from her family, her medical caregivers and her local community, she was able to win her battle.
The Pontotoc resident continues to win that battle today.
