January: Winter Retreat ❄️
February: Got ordained and married two couples, including my mom's best friends on the beach in Honduras 🏖️
March: Went on a paid work retreat in Long Beach with my husband 💆‍♀️
April: lots of working and planning for the future 💻
May: hosted 12 ladies for a bachelorette trip in Scottsdale for one of my greatest friends 💙
June: First Summer Retreat ☀️
July: we welcomed two of our best friends to the married club 👰‍♀️
August: Peer Pathways Conference with 🎤
September: presenting at the Content Roundtable for and officially becoming a member of the coolest networking group in town 👯‍♀️
October: Joining a line dancing class with to get my groove back 👢
November: Ran my first Turkey Trot with pushing me to the finish line! 🦃
December: celebrating the beginning of my 30s surrounded by friends and family 💓✨

This year went by fast and slow at the same time, but I have a feeling I'll only be saying that more as I get older. Here's to 2025 keeping the sparkle of life 💖

See that purple flyer? I made that 😍 Seeing my graphic design work out in the community makes my heart smile 😁💜 There's something special about connecting with our local Olympia community through in-person marketing.

Our Olympia community is unique—we still value the impact of tangible, in-person connections. Flyers, postcards, business cards, brochures, banners—each piece has the power to catch someone’s eye, spark curiosity, and bring people together. These projects are some of my favorites because they put your business directly into the hands of our neighbors. Let's make your message part of our community!

Your posts are more than just content—they’re invitations. When you tailor your message specifically to your ideal client, you attract the people who resonate with your brand and offerings.

🔑 Make your posts align with the type of clients you want to work with by:

Using language and tone that they relate to

Addressing their pain points and offering clear solutions

Highlighting the goals and results they care about

Reflecting their lifestyle, values, or interests

The more specific and intentional you are, the more your ideal clients will see themselves in your posts—and that’s what draws them in naturally. Speak to the clients you want, and they’ll come to you!

September Recap 💕

My cousin wrote and published a children's book and I attended her author reading in Castle Rock (go check out Eddy & Rosa Ride the Waves if you haven't yet) 🌊

My sweet friend Laurel and I signed a contract to work together on promoting the Grave Concerns Association, an organization working to place markers on the graves of those buried at Western State Hospital. I'm passionate about helping others and working with Laurel only enhances that 🙌

If you didn't already know, I did a presentation at the Content Roundtable where I also learned so much about email marketing that I'll be implementing with clients soon 👀📨

The Olympia Master Builders Tour of Homes featured a project by my client so I got to gather some beautiful content for a completed project, including two of their designers pictured here (my husband and his cousin Lindsey) 🏠

Last but not least, I lost a childhood friend unexpectedly last month so I went down to Arizona to celebrate his life and spend time with some friends, it was the perfect opportunity to get some healing, warmth and sunshine ☀️🕊️

Another month down, I can't wait to see what the 'ber months of 2024 have in store 🎃🦃🎄

It’s amazing how one connection can shape the future. Katie and I met through our mutual friend Michelle, and soon after, she came up with the idea to launch the first winter retreat. She asked me to come on board, and at the time, I had no idea how much that moment would change my life.

Working alongside her, I began to see my own potential in a new light. Katie didn’t just give me a role in the retreat, she gave me the confidence to pursue something bigger – my passion for helping small businesses grow. With her support and encouragement, I realized I could turn that passion into a business of my own, and that’s how Sound Strategy Marketing was born.

Now, I’m proud to offer the same dedication and personalized support that Katie gave me, but to small businesses ready to take their next step. I’ve been where you are – unsure, dreaming big, and wondering if it’s possible. Let me tell you: it is. With the right guidance, anything is possible.

But like most cats they don't go by their given name, so we call them Nelly Bean, Hue-ward, and Steven 🤪

Life has been so busy lately (or always?) I'm finally in a place where I've shed the winter blues and spring is in full bloom 🌺
