A big congrats to Golf Oklahoma correspondents Abbey Algiers and Ed Travis, both of whom won Outstanding Achievement Awards at the International Network of Golf awards ceremony Wednesday at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. Abbey in the Travel Writing category for her story Gals Take Over on Foray Into Alabama and Ed in the Equipment Writing category for his story Iron Lofts and the Quest for Performance, both of which appeared in the Aug.-Sept. issue of Golf Oklahoma.

Three Oklahoma courses made the list as Golfweek published its top 200 Residential Courses. Oak Tree National in Edmond is No. 16, The Patriot in Owasso is tied for 37th and Oak Tree East Country Club in Edmond snuck in at No. 197. Shangri-La on Grand Lake and Forest Ridge were obvious swings and misses by the raters.
