SHIKOBA Recycling was started December 2008. The owner recognized a severe gap in recycling services available to businesses. After a short stint as The Recycling Revolution, it was decided to return to the original name. Shikoba is a Choctaw word and pronounced She-koh-bah. It's literal translation means, "feather". In many Native cultures the eagle is considered a protective earth spirit and overseer of the earth. We take our role as stewards of the planet very seriously and helping humanity improve our quality of life through sustainable living means a better place for all of us. We thought such an important job needed a meaningful name that reflected our roots and where we come from. We provide comprehensive recycling options to businesses and communities.
