"It meant throwing out the expectations and the timelines, and reintegrating the love, the laughter, the love the things that make kids who they are. And I think watching that in other people's lives, where they just, they had struggles, but the love was so deep and so strong. And so there, it gave me freedom and permission to be unapologetically loving to my family and my child."

"As Gracie’s Dad, what does it mean for you to help Gracie be Gracie."
So, for me, that's turning on the music, and just watching her dance. Because my mom, loves dance. And to me dance is a big part of the happiness that I've had in my life. So being able to turn on the music, and watch Gracie rock out and just dance. You know, there's that country song and the main chorus is ‘I hope you dance’. I often think you know what, if nothing else, I hope you dance. And one of these days because of what has happened here at the Little Light House because of Sarah and I and the rest of my family in my extended family. I am confident that one day I will walk her down that aisle and I will have that first dance with her at her wedding.
