Firefighters and first responders from Tucson and all over Arizona are headed to LA. If you are a firefighter or you are one of their loved ones, please know how grateful the people of Los Angeles are for you.

We have been through wildfires. In fact, Rob lost his family home in one. We were in Northern California when several fires broke out in just one night. Thousands of people lost their homes in our area in a matter of hours - including the home that Rob's mom lived in. This was the house that he spent most of his childhood in. It was reduced to just the chimney.

As we stood at the window of our radio station, we watched firetrucks and other first responders from all over the country drive by. The amount of gratitude we had for these brave men and women was overwhelming.

When the fire started, we felt so alone. But, hours later we were surrounded by help. So much help that our community adopted the phrase "The Love in the Air is Thicker Thank the Smoke" So, if you are headed from Arizona to California, know how appreciated you are.

From Rob and Joss in the Morning

Well, 2024. There was no other way to honor you than with a random photo collage (or two!)

This was one of those "Years of a Lifetime." Totally monumental. Life changing. One for the books.

You'll see in this photo collage the hashtag we used when we were getting back on the air, pics of our new friends at @94.9mixfm, Saguaro cactus, flights of beer, musicals we went to, Arizona creatures, desert blooms, the frog that was in our pool that KNEW we were scooping it out and looked at us with it's big eyes and SWAM AWAY! A pic from a quick trip we took to a place called Sedona 🙂🙂, the chapel at The Sanctuary here in Tucson, a car from the car show we went with my (Joss') dad to in Florence, "Stitch" the tortoise that escaped the amazing Rooster Cogburn's Ostrich Ranch (he was returned and that place is AWESOME!), Christmas Day mimosas and the aliens that live by our pool.

These are just pictures, just memories and things that scratch the surface of what 2024 was. But there is just no way to tell you how divine the year truly was. Again, life changing.

The good and the bad.

Thank you to the amazing crew at ARIZONA LOTUS for welcoming us to MIXfm and trusting us with such a special station.
