2025 Goals: Strong Body, Peaceful Mind, Balanced Life

This year, my focus is on keeping both my mental and physical health in check while actually enjoying life—because what’s the point if we’re not happy in the process?

✨ Fitness:
I want to keep building strength, especially in my back, glutes, shoulders, and abs. But more importantly, I’m aiming for consistency over crazy intensity. Trying new workouts and finding ways to make fitness fun are also on my list!

🧘‍♀️ Mental Health:
This year, it’s about setting boundaries, protecting my peace, and staying mindful of what truly matters. I’m reminding myself that it’s okay to take a breather and celebrate progress instead of chasing perfection.

🎉 Life Balance:
I’m all about finding that sweet spot—working hard, staying active, but also giving myself permission to enjoy life’s little pleasures without guilt. Good food, good company, and making time for what I love are non-negotiables.

2025 is about showing up for myself in every way—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Here’s to a year of strength, peace, and just living well. What are you working on this year?

I just finished It Ends With Us, and I’m still sitting with everything it brought up for me. This book is raw, emotional, and so honest that it almost hurts to read at times. It’s not just a love story—it’s about breaking cycles, facing heartbreak, and finding the courage to choose yourself, even when it feels impossible.

Lily’s story hit me hard, especially coming from a broken family. The way Colleen Hoover explores the ripple effects of growing up in a home shaped by abuse feels so real and relatable if you’ve lived it. It captures that inner struggle of loving someone but refusing to let history repeat itself. For those of us who’ve seen or experienced that dynamic firsthand, this book can feel like a mirror—it’s painful, but it also gives you hope for something better.

I know this book won’t connect with everyone in the same way. If you’ve never been in Lily’s shoes or seen these struggles up close, some of her choices might not make sense, and the story might feel frustrating or even controversial. But for those of us who understand what it’s like to live with those scars, this book is incredibly validating.

For me 10/10 ☕📖

I read this book at least once a year to remind myself that I’m mentally strong. Here are ten life-changing takeaways from Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins:

1. Push Past the 40% Mark: Goggins believes that when you feel like you’ve hit your limit, you’re usually only 40% done. You have so much more to give if you dig deep and keep going.
2. The Accountability Mirror: He recommends standing in front of a mirror, being brutally honest about your weaknesses and goals. Owning your truth, even the uncomfortable parts, is key to real change.
3. Toughen Your Mind Like a Callus: Just like skin develops calluses, your mind can grow stronger by facing discomfort. The more challenges you face, the more resilient you become.
4. Master Your Inner Voice: Negative self-talk can really hold you back. Goggins says to take charge of your thoughts and turn them into positive, motivating ones.
5. Lean into Pain and Suffering: Goggins believes growth happens when you embrace discomfort. The tough stuff is where you find strength you didn’t know you had.
6. Keep a “Cookie Jar” of Wins: In hard moments, look back at things you’ve accomplished. Reminding yourself of past victories can be a powerful source of motivation.
7. Visualize Success—and Failure: Picture what it will look and feel like to succeed, but also imagine the pain of failing. This helps you stay focused and prepared for whatever comes.
8. Know Your Why: When things get tough, a strong reason behind what you’re doing keeps you going. Purpose is what fuels you through hard times.
9. Strive to Be “Uncommon Amongst the Uncommon”: Goggins says don’t settle, even if you’re already doing well. Keep pushing to set yourself apart, no matter who’s around you.
10. Adapt and Overcome: Life’s going to throw curveballs. Instead of getting knocked down, see each challenge as an opportunity to learn and keep growing.

Goggins’ journey is a reminder that you have more strength inside you than you think. It’s about confronting your limits, facing your fears, and finding out what you’re really capable of.

Life’s too short to spend it stressed or overthinking. Take time to enjoy the little moments, laugh, and create memories. Happiness isn’t about having everything perfect, but finding joy in the everyday. So slow down, breathe, and really live.
