NEW RELEASE | COVENANT OF BLOOD

Covenant of Blood is our first trailer music release of 2025. This year we're making an effort to showcase individual composers instead of releasing traditional multi-composer albums. In this case we're presenting the work of duo David Butler and Jacopo Cicatiello with two tracks featuring original vocal recordings by Tihana Nikolic. David and Jacopo are known for their amazing work on recent horror campaigns for Heretic, Speak No Evil, Y2K, and Alien: Earth.

The cues presented here run a gamut of understated tension, modern grinding strings, and driving percussive horror, giving editors options for a plethora of trailers for the likes of A24, Neon, and beyond.

Covenant of Blood is available now to the advertising marketing industry.

BRASH 2024 YEAR IN REVIEW

It's that time of year as we look back on the projects we worked on in 2024. We're very proud of all the titles we worked on this year, there were so many cool ones and career highlights.

A lot of these are SFX placements, which is awesome as we've been working hard to build a stellar SFX catalog to sit alongside our trailer music catalog.

It was a bit of a slow summer as we relocated across country and took some time off to make that happen. But we're moving into 2025 at full steam ahead!

Thank you so much to all the composers that put their faith in us to get their music out to the world - it's a lot of hard work and we're grateful. And of course thank you to the shops and clients that continue to believe in us. Extra thanks to Eric Dawson Tate, who does amazing work mixing and mastering all our albums.

Office Shelf Vignette #4

I'm an OG Star Wars dork from the '80s. Like 8 years ago before I was doing sync licensing I was doing PR and artist management.

I really wanted to get a lightsaber but couldn't justify spending $400 on it, even if it did have a ballistic grade dueling blade and LED lighting and sound effects.

There was a band about to go on tour and they wanted to some PR support so I offered to work their tour if they sent me this saber. So here it is in all its glory.

Office shelf vignette #3

This is a shadow box I made shortly after getting out of the Marine Corps in 2004. I spent a couple months selling Jeeps in NC and thought this would be a good way to get some goodwill from customers. I didn't sell many cars.

But I did meet another salesman, Evan, Knotek, with a military background and a shared love for filmmaking. He'd worked as a PA on Dawson's Creek and made a few short films.

I was doing some night work as an indie concert promoter and wrangled him into doing a video for a fundraiser for The Milestone Club. The Milestone is a historic punk and indie venue that hosted concerts from Nirvana to REM to Bad Brains. I met my wife there at one of my shows.

Anyway, what began as a short video montage escalated into plans for a full blown documentary. We interviewed Ian Mackaye, Mike Mills, and dozens of bands over the course of a year.

I moved to LA at one point but we kept trying to finish the project. I flew back to Charlotte for a week and we poured over footage and started editing some things together. A few months later Evan died of a stroke. I have dozens of tapes and just recently have felt that it's time to finish what we started. More on that in the New Year.

Office Shelf Vignette #2

This one is extra personal to me.

First off, Art of Death Stranding book and a Funko of Sam Porter Bridges. Death Stranding is a top 5 of all time game for me. It just so happened that and I were playing through it during the same time, so it's one of the ways we connected as friends early on.

The pocket knife was something my dad found on one of his famous "nature walks" and he carried it on him all the time. The bullet casing is from the 21 gun salute at his funeral.

I'll share more shelf vignettes in the days to come. I'm still collecting and sorting but I'm very happy with how it's all coming together

Been working diligently to build new shelves in my office. Now that they're built I have the daunting task of filling them with items that reflect who I am as a person and how I view Brash as a brand. This is one of my favorite shelves.

The Last of Us (Joel and Ellie) - one of my favorite video games of all time and very personal fo me on so many levels.

Five Nights at Freddy's - we worked on the movie campaign last year and it's one of my children's favorite IPs.

Among Us - we've done a few trailers for this game and I'll always have fond memories of the my daughter's 3rd grade class being in awe when I talked about it during Parent Career Day.

And of course a Brash engraved metal drink cozy for when I need a White Claw after a long day of customs, haha.

NEW RELEASE | BAD ACID

BAD ACID is a trip through a surreal, intense, and disturbing auditory landscape, amplified by the psychological chaos of distorted chants, whispers, and screams. The overall vibe of this EP in our new Brash Artist Series is chaotic yet deliberate, alternating between eerie, ambient sections and intense, loud bursts of sound, creating a rollercoaster of paranoia, confusion, and terror.

NEW TRAILER MUSIC | NIGHTMARE IN THE 'BURBS

We just sent out our newest trailer music collection to the trailer industry, a 5 track vocalese horror EP called Nightmare In The 'Burbs. Composed by Zoltan Zadori, these cues envelope the listener in waves of tension, pulsing strings, and wordless vocals.

These cues invoke the eerie beauty and raw terror that only the human voice can convey. For trailer cuts needing a sense of dread, helplessness and tension look no further.

NEW WORK || TYLER PERRY'S BEAUTY IN BLACK

It's a thrill to have provided music for the full trailer for Tyler Perry's new Netflix series Beauty In Black.

From :50 on uses a customized version of Andreas Gajewski's "The Maze" off his solo album Gifts of the Machine.
