One of my 𝙛𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚 things to do in the 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 is visit different 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘵 restaurants. Covid made that nearly possible last summer, but NOT this summer. I 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵 to get back to outdoor dining with great food and beautiful views. ⁣

Give me views of the Freighters passing by and the Blue Water Bridge any day! This one is all about location for me. ⁣

This one is 20 minutes from Detroit. I think it would be a great option for dinner and maybe a tigers game afterwards. We’re always looking for new dining experiences with great views when we go downtown. ⁣

Its SUMMER time and that means it’s time for all the things...farmer’s markets, feet in the sand, family vacay, fireworks, flip-flops….I could go on and on!⁣

But hot summer days also mean homeowners need to give attention to a few time-sensitive tasks around the house. ⁣

No need to stress—knock ‘em out early in the season and then get those toes back in the sand where they belong. Here’s a shortlist of summer maintenance jobs to help get you started:⁣

1. Cut back overgrown vegetation from your home’s walls and fences.⁣
2. Inspect your exterior for loose or rotted siding.⁣
3. Wash windows inside and out.⁣
4. Service your AC and change air filters.⁣
5. Power wash your driveway and sidewalks.⁣
6. Wash and stain or reseal your deck.⁣
7. Empty out gutters and downspouts.⁣
8. Clean your dryer vent and exhaust duct.⁣
9. Service the grill by closing the lid, turning the heat on high, and letting it cook for about a half-hour before wiping it clean.

When I left my job at the hospital to go into Real Estate I was worried that I may not find fulfillment in helping people buy and sell houses. I was worried it wouldn’t feed my soul the way working in Medical Education did. However, yesterday I was reminded just how special this entire process really is.

My clients, a beautiful young couple shared with me that they will be the first homeowners in their family. Neither of their parents ever owned a home.

I’m still smiling for them! What an accomplishment. They did all the hard work, I simply helped them through the process, but to witness them achieve such a big goal and see one of their dreams come true is so special.

You guys, Real Estate fuels my soul. I am so blessed to do something I love each and every day. ❤️

Many of you know my backstory, but it never hurts to be reminded how much you mean to someone, right? 😍

Prior to Real Estate I worked at a local hospital for 10 years. In April of 2014 I became a licensed Realtor thinking I would love to sell Real Estate as a side gig and bring in some extra money for my family. Fast forward a year and a half later, I called my husband and said, today is the day, “I’m quitting.” He hesitated for a minute and then he said “Okay. I believe in you.” So I did it. I handed in my letter of resignation and I left behind a salary, health benefits and a 401k. I was scared to death, but also super determined. There was a passion and a fire that I had never felt before. I would not fail.

6 years into being a full time Realtor and I still get butterflies when people call me to work with them. I know that’s a decision they made to give ME their business amongst the hundreds of other Realtors they could have went with. I can tell you that I never take that for granted. I can also tell you that my clients are family. I don’t cold call people. I don’t door knock. I don’t have my face on a billboard on the expressway. I don’t pay for leads. My business comes from my past clients. The clients who say things like this:

I often think to myself, what is the best way to thank people for supporting your dreams? What is the best way to thank people for allowing you to do something you love every single day? Honestly? I’m not sure there is an appropriate way to thank you for those things, but I will continue to say it so that you are constantly reminded... THANK YOU!

This past week I had the opportunity to celebrate my 2020 accomplishments alongside the rest of the amazing Realtors I get to work with. I will tell you I crushed my 2020 sales goal and I did it during the most difficult year of my life. This isn’t just my accomplishment, this is OUR accomplishment. Every single one of you who referred me business, mentioned my name to someone new, tagged me in a post, shared my business page...etc.

Meet the “A” Family!

They moved here from AZ in 2019 and after renting for a little bit and taking their time getting to know the area they are finally ready to plant some roots in MI. ❤️

We have looked at all of the properties currently listed on the MLS and have come up short so we have decided to test out the power of social media 🤩

Our kitchen is definitely one of the 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 used rooms in our 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦. In fact with 3 growing kids sometimes it feels like I don’t leave our kitchen 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘆 😳⁣
⁣
Needless to say by 𝘴𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 time this room is more then 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 for a 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯. The 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘧𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 item on this list for me is deep cleaning the garbage can! I wipe it down often, but nothing makes me feel like I have my life together more then taking it outside and spraying it with the hose. Then I add some soap or bleach and bring it back inside to watch it sparkle (usually only for a minute 😂) ⁣

𝘛𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺’𝘴 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩 focuses on the 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘦 house. Keep in mind this is a 𝗹𝗼𝘁 to tackle so 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘪𝘵 𝘶𝘱 over the next week or two and of course when in doubt call in the professionals to help with things like cleaning the carpets, rugs, and air vents. 😉
