Dylan Williams left us 13 years ago today. He was already sick when we reconnected 16 years ago. We had things beyond the comics that brought us together in the 90s to talk about by then, but never got to take the conversation very far. As the caretaker of his Sparkplug Books I think about Dylan every day. He’s a voice in my head. Here’s Tom Spurgeon’s words at Dylan’s passing. Tom has also moved on to someplace else.

Personal appearances alert. I’ll be sitting in the big chair like James T. Kirk at Paper Moon in Troy, Mondays and Tuesdays 11-7, starting Monday, the 17th of June. I don’t think it is any great secret that Orchid co-editor Ben’s dad is a “Disney Genius™”. Anyway, the new edition of his book "Creativity, Inc.” has been out for a little bit now. Not sure how much Puppy Toss and Sparkplug lore is spun therein, but you might be interested in it anyway. Surely young Ben spreads some ink (or poo) in those pages.
