Chairs were filled by neighbors who have known each other for years.
Handshakes turned into hugs.
A flower from the arrangement slipped onto the floor and stayed there awhile.
Now the room is being reset,
because another family will arrive in the morning,
and everything should feel just right when they do.

Someone is coming home one last time.
