To the Citizens of Gibson County:

We would like to make you aware that our field reviewer, Lee, will be in the vehicle pictured below while doing property reviews. State Law requires our office to review each and every property in the county so that your taxes accurately reflect what is on your property (sheds, pool, house, barns, etc.). It takes approximately 5 years to review from one end of the county to the other.

If you see this vehicle on or around your property, please know that he is just doing his job.

We aim to keep citizens informed and educated as best as we possibly can. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office at 731-855-7634.
Thank you.

Someone is once again calling people saying they are with the Sheriff’s Office and telling them there is a warrant out for their arrest for missing jury duty. They further state it can be taken care of if they send money. First of all we don’t operate in this manner, second of all if you did happen to miss jury duty you would be served with a show cause order with a court date, not a warrant.
