06/13/2024

Due to network disruptions at the Traverse City Governmental Center, public meetings held at that location will not be livestreamed or broadcasted live on Channel 191. Instead, we will rebroadcast recordings of the meetings as soon as possible after they have concluded. These recordings can be found on http://tacm.tv as well as in your TV Guide schedule on cable Channel 191 (in northwest Lower Michigan).

Please note that you can still attend all public meetings at the Traverse City Governmental Center in person.

UPDATE: After an immediate investigation, this matter has been fully recognized as a ransomware incident. The County is working with the Michigan State Police, FBI, and liability providers to better understand what has occurred and what to expect. A transfer of data has not been confirmed at this time. An investigation of the issue is currently underway.

As a precautionary effort, the County and City networks will be offline until further notice.

Notice: Grand Traverse County detected network issues this morning and took County and City offices offline as a precaution. Public safety services (911, law enforcement, fire) remain fully operational. In-person services are impacted, but online payments are unaffected. We're investigating and will update soon. Thank you for your patience.
