**Now Hiring: Accounting Position at Midland Soccer Club**

The Midland Soccer Club (MSC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accountant. Our fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30, and we use QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2024, Demosphere, and GotSport to manage our financial operations.

**Position: Accountant**
**Location: Midland, MI**
**Type: Part-Time**

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Handle cash and credit card transactions for concession stands and store, recording revenues in QuickBooks.
- Manage large cash transactions to pay referees during spring and fall tournaments.
- Process payments and reimbursements for Fusion Coaches and referees in both recreational and adult leagues.
- Collect and manage W-9 information for non-employee compensation recipients.
- Process manual payments for player fees in Demosphere and GotSport.
- Handle vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for club employees.
- Calculate, submit, and pay quarterly payroll taxes to state and federal governments, including quarterly sales tax.
- Record weekly deposits received through Demosphere and GotSport in QuickBooks.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly.
- Conduct year-end processing of W-2s and 1099-NECs.
- Assist with registration questions and help store customers as needed.
- Communicate with board members regarding checks requiring signatures.
- Order and purchase office supplies as needed.
- Perform PCI DSS compliance for TSYS, Worldpay, and Global payments networks as needed.
- Audit work for accuracy and proper class codes.

**Qualifications:**

- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2024 and familiarity with Demosphere and GotSport.
- Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills.
- Ability to handle large sums of cash responsibly.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
