Dawns first social campaign “Helping Friends Network” was born out of the “survivors” syndrome experience following September 11, 2001. A few of us facing crisis seeing peoples reaction in fear, uncertainty and survival of the fittest, decided to live and lead life with bold love. Dawn created the community to stay connected despite chaos and focused on good ideas and solutions in tough times.
Dawn helped thousands of laid off professionals find work from 2001 until 2009. It mandated forging partnerships with recruiters and companies, and advocating for others that led to the Recruiters Lounge Magazine reported Dawn was the #1 of the Top 50 most influential Recruiters Influencers on Twitter, which gave way to a hosting a radio show for RecruiterEarth Production Media, called “Connected”, an on air program showcasing leaders and best practices in social media shared recruiting services. Before long, her Recruiting Professionals best practices network went viral and now hosts +60K Global Enterprise Human Resources, Sourcers, and Recruiters worldwide.
Affecting meaningful change and creating innovation and opportunities is near and dear to Dawn’s heart. Taking lessons learned from 091101 she has just launched a social Change Movement called Covid-19 World Employment Task Force, aimed at putting together voluntary global emergency crisis, healthcare and employment resources for those suffering the economic impacts of the Coronavirus Pandemic worldwide.
People are curious how this mix of humanitarian and healthcare, IT relates, but Dawn is a Innovation Engineer with a Creative Social Technical passion for innovation.
Most proud of work with Help Desk Institute (HDI) comprehensive book titled “Implementing Service and Support Management Processes”. Dawn was also a proud collaborator on the Help Desk Institute Support Center Certification Program, and Support Center Standard; guest speak for Japan Help Desk Centre United States Tours for several years. This first book has proven to be so useful in connecting with the best minds worldwide to distill the best approach for Service and Support Management Practices, for today, and updating with continuous process Improvement.
The Tech, the Process and the Opportunity just seem to demand that mix of skills. She partnered with Beth Epstein to coauthor an a publication for the UK based Journal of Business Continuity & Emergency Planning titled “Application impact analysis: A risk-based approach to business continuity and disaster recovery”
That article helped when demand for Business Continuity took center stages Dawn helped businesses retrofit emergency Business Continuity and Major Incident Management for Covid-19, a global pandemic with challenging communications and business risk for Service Management, Business Continuity Response, Cyber Security, and Human Resource challenges
Dawn has always been a strong supporter of arts, education, embracing diversity and employment equality and encouraging and uplifting a community for positive change, is a driving force her work. Motivated by the strong desire to work hard to create a great future to lift people out of poverty, Dawn supports Global Business Collaboration with Bangladesh.
Demand for empowering youth jobs and internships for supporting encouragement of Saint David IELTS Center of Excellence in Dhaka, coupled with demand for more support globally for students in the Australia, Asia, USA, Canada, and Europe inspired a recent launch of Inspiring Global Education IELTS best practices and Study Abroad.
