A huge shout out to our amazing intern Sophie and all she’s done for us here. She started with us in the summer of 2023 and has been a huge asset to us and the Tracy area community. We are going to miss her as she starts her new adventure.

To our subscribers and readers: due to the fact that our printer didn’t print our paper last night, the Tracy Area Headlight Herald will be late. At the moment, we don’t know when the paper will be printed. Once printed - we will deliver immediately.
Online subscribers will receive the online edition on normal schedule.
In addition - our online edition will be free to everyone from 1 pm today (Wednesday) until 1 pm tomorrow (Thursday). It can be found at www.headlightherald.com
We apologize for the delay. We strive every week to put out a good paper and sometimes things are out of our control.

The office will close at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, as we honor the life of our friend, Dave "Petey" Peterson. Dave's funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Tracy Lutheran Church. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time; our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and those close to him.

Tracy parents - do you have a lonely left cleat at home? This cleat was on the sidewalk outside our building yesterday. If your child lost their right cleat, please stop by the office and pick it up.

Due to a power outage the Headlight Herald office is closed the rest of today (June 25). We are working, thanks to a generator from Morey’s Small Engine, to get your paper done for publication tomorrow.

Attention Tracy Area Headlight Herald print subscribers - this week’s paper will be published like normal. Newsstands will be delivered on Wednesday morning like normal. However, Wednesday is a holiday and there is no mail delivery. Your mailed subscription will arrive later this week because of that. If you want the news on Wednesday, you can purchase a copy at one of our great newsstand locations:

Above the Fold Publishing was proud to present the Eric Peterson Memorial Scholarship to Emma Chandler and Jordyn Hanson this year. This scholarship is given annually to a senior softball player(s) in memory of Per’s brother Eric. This year’s recipients embody the characteristics Eric always showed - leadership on and off the field, team building, always giving your best in everything you do and truly caring for those around you. Congratulations girls and best of luck in your future!

No Fooling, We're Celebrating!
Today marks 5 years of Per and Tara owning Above The Fold Publishing & the Tracy Area Headlight Herald. It's been a wild ride and we are so blessed with the best community and surrounding area.
