People in our area are already starting to see the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) tonight caused by recent solar activity. To see them you need to get away from city lights to a high elevation with a view of the North sky. Sometimes they can only be seen when viewed through a smart phone camera.

The Aurora is common up North but isn't visible down here in CT very often so this is a rare occurrence that you might not want to miss.
