"Tennessee Whiskey" William featuring JD Severino and Kaui Beamer
At the height of COVID, Stars Behavioral Health Group brought a young man to me that has experienced a great deal of trauma in his life, yet he was pursuing a career as a nursing assistant. He needed a way to cope with anxiety and loves country music, so Imagine Music and Arts Partnership donated a guitar to him and recorded "Tennessee Whiskey" with help from Kaui Beamer and JD Severino. Oh - and and he just graduated nursing school! Please help us to congratulate William by enjoying his video. Chris Stapleton Fender
Atreyu (The Neverending Story) to the Rescue!
A young person who has spent years at a residential treatment center in California has recently suffered a lot of trauma (not even counting COVID), yet still graduated high school and is about to complete treatment. One thing that has kept them LITERALLY alive is a love for the movie The Neverending Story and its hero Atreyu.....who has come to support this fighter as he battles "The Nothing" and "Swamp of Sadness". Watch to the end! Noah Hathaway
Two step recipe for making a better world:
1. Donate instruments to kids in need
2. Teach them Van Halen songs
Thanks to The Campos Family for their generous donation that will help provide connection, purpose, and hope to young people who already needed it, but now even more so with COVID-19.
Most of these items, and any donations that we get, will be peronally delivered to Stars Behavioral Health Group families by Imagine Executive Director Matt Wilczynski to help them find their own skills and strengths even when they’re battling the results of trauma, mental illness, neglect and substance abuse...not to mention COVID-19.
"I Won't Back Down" Covid-19 Collaboration
As the Covid-19 Quarantine entered it's second month, Musicians and First Responders nationwide collaborated on Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers classic "I Won't Back Down", connecting us musically while we remain physically distant from each other.
Thanks to the talented and generous people who contributed, we hope to provide help to Massachusetts COVID-19 Relief Fund and Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Links are attached and info is in the video.
Please enjoy this celebration of our First Responders, Health Care Workers and Essential Workers as they continue to fight the good fight.
