As most know, the bear lodge had collapsed over time. Our elders took the opportunity to rebuild the lodge during the week. We want to send a huge thank you for taking the time, all your hardwork, & dedication to rebuilding.

We are happy to announce that we are doing a raffle for Haslett Basin. All proceeds go to our gathering for food, refreshments, and etc.

We are starting a raffle & also will be selling tickets on grounds starting Monday, October 14th. All items will be raffled on Saturday, October 19th. No need to be present, just need name & number.

📢 Announcement from our Elders

For all Fasters who will be fasting this year:

You’ll need to bring canvas tarps, twine, medicines, prayer ties, flashlight, lighter for medicine if lighting any. Blanket or something to lay on ground. Towel to put over head as you’ll need to cover when coming out. And any spiritual items you wish to use.

We do please ask all fasters to be there Monday to start gathering of poles. Set up will begin Tuesday. Please be mindful of elders when choosing your fasting spot as the hill can be strenuous in different areas. No food or water while fasting. (All veterans know, some new may not know.)

We are happy to announce that we will be having our gathering this year, October 13th-20th. As our food is provided through all your generous donations, love, and continuous support, with gathering coming close, we please do ask if you or know of anyone who can donate or would like to donate any food items, we greatly appreciate all donations. We do have a food list, please contact Martin Davis or Maggie Davis for more information.

Haslett Committee greatly appreciates all of community’s help. We hope to see everyone at gathering. We thank you in advance.

We also have found it easier to use google maps for directions, along with coordinates that will take you straight to the gate.

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is staying cool & hydrated in this heat.

We have an update on PDJ runners. Due to the wildfires, we've been notified that the following locations have been cancelled:
Mariposa
North Fork
Big Sandy Rancheria
Fresno

Run will resume within the next 4-5 weeks. As of now, runners will be rerouting to run the coastal route. Thank you for your help & support. We will reach out again when we have an update of when runners will be back on inland route.

Hello Haslett Community

Due to the Basin Fire, we couldn't host PDJ runners at the grounds so we have connected with Choinumni Park to host event in Fresno Area. We have provided an updated flyer.

We highly encourage all runners to use a QR code to register. This will allow the next stop at Tachi to know how many participants will need accommodation for food and overnight stay.

Haslett Basin Committee is honored & blessed to welcome PDJ runners at Haslett Basin grounds July 8th. They will be departing location July 9th to continue their journey. Next stop will be at Choinumni Park.

The Peace and Dignity Journey is an intercontinental indigenous ceremonial prayer run/walk occurring every 4 years since the 1990s, connecting tribes throughout the Western Hemisphere.

We ask of all who would like to participate in helping with a meal, snacks, drinks, etc., or for anyone who would like to participate in running, please feel free to contact Martin Davis or Ron Alec Sr.

Good morning everyone!

We hope families are in good health, great spirits, & staying hydrated in this heat!!

Over the weekend, we’ve had the greatest opportunity to bring youths up to the grounds for a camping weekend & had a great success! Many first experiences for them which was exciting for us to watch as they learned a lot, had nothing but laughter and smiles, lots of questions, learning to drum and sing songs, learning how to fish, definitely lots of swimming, activities in between down time, & being able to experience the outdoors.

We’d like to thank ICSI and PAL boxing group from Fresno County for bringing your youths & leaders to experience the outdoors. We will definitely see you all soon!

We would also like to send a BIG thank you to Joe, Rosie, Uncle Ron, Delbert, Ray Oso, Herb, Tino, Josh, Marty, Matthew, George, Youngblood, Aunt Ele, Lisa, Maxine, Jacob, Trish, Martha, & Miguel for all your help, continuous support, & love!!

Over the weekend, we’ve had a wonderful time at BSR powwow. Thank you Big Sandy Rancheria for having us as a vendor. Also a big thank you to all of our helpers & our supporters. We’ve had a lot of fun, laughter, smiles, & love. Thank you everyone for the continuous love & support. Until next time!
