For years, while Ernie Thacker & Route 23 were playing regularly, there were fans and Friends who called themselves the Thacker Backers.
Ernie and I both naturally ate that up. We loved that we had people who supported us so much they would give themselves a moniker, let alone such a cool one as the Thacker Backers.

Big news! We are coming to WMIM 98.3 FM, Nash Icon out of Monroe, Michigan! We start on Saturday March 2nd, and then every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to noon!
It is part of the 4-Hour block that used to be Bluegrass Time with Jeff Tuttle.
I'm proud to say Jeff was a friend of mine, and while no one could ever fill his shoes, I sure am honored to carry on the work that he started by bringing good bluegrass music to the airwaves of Southeast Michigan on 98.3 Nash Icon!
