Urgent Need For Blood
Donations: Help Save
Lives at the Greenup
Blood Drive
The American Red Cross has issued an urgent call for blood donors as the nation faces a critical shortage of life-saving blood supplies. With hopitals relying on blood to perform surgeries, treat trauma victims, and provide care for cancer patients, every donation can make a significant difference.
To address this dire need, the American Red Cross willhost a blood drive on Monday, December 2nd, from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Greenup Municipal Building. This vital community event is sponsored by the First Baptist Church of Greenup whose generous support is making it possible to help save lives during this crucial time.
While walk-ins are welcome, scheduling an appointment is strongly encouraged to reduce wait times. You can make an appointment by visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
Together, we can meet the urgent need for blood donations and ensure that no one has to wait for the life-saving care they deserve. We look forward to seeing you at the Greenup Municipal Building for this life-changing event.

Cumberland Middle School Boys Basketball Meeting
Cumberland Middle School will hold a player/parent meeting on Thursday, October 10 at 4:45 pm in the grade school cafeteria. This meeting is open to any 7th or 8th grade boy and their parent/guardian who wishes to play basketball this year. If you cannot attend the meeting, please contact Coach Venatta at [email protected] or Mrs. Keyser, athletic director, at [email protected]. Student athletes must have a current physical on file prior to the first day of practice on Monday, October 21.

Cumberland Middle School will reschedule its first round of regional baseball play against Bridgeport Red Hill for Tuesday, September 24 at 4:30 due to rain. The game will still take place at the Toledo American Legion/First Neighbor Bank Field at 200 S. New Jersey Street in Toledo.

The Cumberland Middle School baseball team will meet in the old gym after school today (Monday, September 23) until 4:30 pm for practice.

Cumberland Middle School has advanced to the semifinal games of the softball regional tournament with a 16-0 victory over North Clay. Their next opponent will be Teutopolis at Teutopolis on Saturday, September 14 at 11:30 am. Bus leave time will be 10 am. Go Lady Raiders!

The Cumberland Middle School baseball game scheduled for August 29 has been cancelled due to heat. It will be rescheduled for Monday, September 9 at Paris-Mayo with a 4:30 pm start time. The bus will leave at 2:30 pm. The team will practice today after school until 5:00 pm in the old gym.

The Cumberland Middle School softball game at home versus Oblong has been cancelled for today due to heat. It will be rescheduled for Wednesday, September 4 in Toledo in place of the Charleston game. There will be practice in the new gym from 3:15-5:00 pm for the softball team today.

Baseball will be rescheduled for Friday, September 13 at 4:30 PM in Toledo. Softball will be rescheduled for Tuesday, September 3 at 4:30 PM in Toledo.
