Elder Steve Allen and the New Bether Praise Team learned The African American Legacy Project was honoring former Mayor Jack Ford posthumously and learned from Mr. Ford's daughter her dad's favorite song was "Something About the Name Jesus."

Without hesitation, Elder Allen and members the New Bethel Praise Team agreed to perform that song.

During her remarks, Jessica thanked Elder Allen and the group for such a touching tribute to her dad.

We The AALP and... the community thank them as well.

Over the next several days, we will be sharing images from our 20th anniversary Legends celebration. COVID took us out, we're so very thankful to be back! Pictures of one of the Founding Directors of The African American Legacy Project, Mr. Norman A. Bell, Sr., who happened to have turned 92 yrs. young the week prior to our honoring him. With Mr. Bell is WTVG morning Anchor, Mr. James Starks, James was the host for our Friday evening hospitality. Ironically, Mr. Bell and Mr. Starks had already been acquainted for a number of years through their church affiliation. Congrats again Mr. Bell and as always, its a pleasure to have James on board!
