IMPORTANT PARADE UPDATE:
Due to the anticipation of severe weather this evening, we are POSTPONING the Astronaut HS Homecoming Parade and Bonfire. The new date for the Astronaut HS Homecoming Parade and Bonfire will be Thursday, October 26th @ 6:30pm, during RIVALRY WEEK vs Titusville. Same time, same place, even more fun! We look forward to celebrating with the entire community!!!
Another opportunity to see, hear, voice your thoughts on what the City of Titusville is presenting on what downtown could look like in the future. This one will be at the Harry T. Moore Center, Thursday October 5, at 5pm. I think the future is bright for Titusville! I went to the last one. There was a lot of good information. I'll share some of the highlights. Share what you would like to see.
If you didn't get a card, use mine. The City of Titusville will be presenting what they are looking at for the Downtown District. From what I've seen, it looks nice. Here is an opportunity to share your thoughts. Doors open at 4:30 at St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church. I think the future looks bright ๐ for Titusville.

Splash Down ๐ช OMG Titusville, I hope you got to see that. It was AMAZING as Crew 6 Dragon streaked across the Florida sky a little after midnight. Unbelievable! 4th time this particular capsule has splashed down returning from space. This one with astronauts.
One more bit of Space news happening tonight!! Crew 6 Dragon space capsule will return to Earth & splash down near Jacksonville. Great chance of seeing it as it come through the atmosphere. It should be visible at mid night.

For Ozzie and all you rocket hobos ๐: Tonight's launch is a ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ซ ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป ๐ต. Scheduled for tonight, ๐ฆ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐. ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฝ ๐ฏ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฏ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ต:๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ฝ.๐บ. (updated) It's launching from Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39A. The first stage will attempt to land on ASDS barge, Just Read the Instructions. ๐
๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐: As we get ready for this evening's launch, it comes with bitter-sweet emotions. As many of you know, 4 weeks ago today, we lost Robert โOzzieโ Osband. Ozzie was sort of our local celebrity. He was the originator of your beloved area code "321" as it relates to the Space Coast. Ozzie was the "Rocket Hobo".
I never knew Ozzie. I never met him in person, but I heard his voice many times. For so many launches, as we stood on our balcony overlooking Space View Park as the countdown neared 0, we could hear a voice in the distance on a loudspeaker system. Many times we wondered and asked ourselves, who was that? As the countdown reached T-10 seconds, we could hear 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, followed by cheers from the crowd as the rocket roared to life from the launch pad across the Indian River.
I recently learned... It was Ozzie. For years, Ozzie dazzled and entertained the crowds awaiting a launch. He would bring his PA system, set it up in the park, and with passion... entertain and educate anyone who would listen. Ozzie would paint a picture that was awe-spiring and from what I read, for thousands, literally, thousands, he left a memorable experience that won't soon be forgotten.
Growing up a Space Coast kid, Ozzie, though I never met you... your passion, imagination and dedication to space have left an impression on my heart.
Here's to you Robert โOzzieโ Osband, you Rocket Hobo. May You Never Miss a Launch. ๐

It could be cloudy. According to the Weather Bug App, there is a 60% chance of rain, but at the time of launch, it is showing 0%, but you know how that goes. SpaceX will not be attempting to recover any of the boosters with this Falcon Heavy launch due to the payload weight. Be sure to remind others because it ๐ never gets old.๐ #spacex #titusville
๐พ๐๐ Starship Liftoff - Huge Congratulations to the SpaceX Team. This morning at 9:33 EDT Starship Test Flight launched from Boca Chica, Texas. This is the largest and most powerful rocket ever created, standing 395ft tall and its thrust is nearly twice that of the Artemis. That huge launch pad that you can see across the Indian River Lagoon that SpaceX is in the process of building is to launch and recover these future rockets. ๐ Today's Starship inaugural test flight did not make it to orbit, but it cleared the tower, passed through Max Q, with 3 engines out (as you can see by the diagram) and got to the point of stage separation. It ended with a rapid unscheduled disassembly, but the data they received is of huge value and will help refine the process for the next one which is ready to go. #spacex #starship #titusville #spacecoast

Opposed to guessing...You can use your phones to look up candidates, proposed amendments, etc. It takes a little longer, but it is worth it. Note: You cannot take pictures and you are not supposed to talk. 2. Though not foolproof, lots of judges and council members to decide on. You can them look up. For judges you can find who appointed them. If you trust the Governor that appointed them. That might help you decide. 3. The sooner the better, but ๐๐ปdon't let that stop you. It's too Important.
