Though one of our goals is to provide information on incidents as they happen, we may miss an incident because: we're responding to the incident with our department, we all may be at work or away for work, we may be out of service and unable to post, or we may simply be enjoying some free time with our families. If you hear of
or see an incident, first CALL 911 and report it, then simply post about it on here so others are aware of the incident and can AVOID the area. We encourage posting on your department's activities, such as fundraisers, training and community service. When posting calls, use the Dispatch Time- Department #- Township- Address- Type of call. You can then add additional information in the comments below. We would like to keep the format of the calls posted the same. If it is not an incident in progress, put (Delayed Post) first in your post. Commonly used codes:

The Waverly-Barton FD is having their 2nd Christmas auction this Sunday 12/10. The auctioneer will be bringing a new variety of items. There will lots of raffles including lottery boards, a donated blanket and baskets filled with goodies. Doors open at 12, auction starts at 1pm.

Nichols FD, Waverly-Barton FD (mutual aid)- reported barn fire at Tioga Downs. No other details available.
🔌❄️ Cold weather safety tip: Avoid plugging space heaters into power strips or extension cords. Always connect them directly to a wall outlet. Power strips aren't designed to handle the high current flow needed by space heaters, which can lead to overheating and fire risks. Stay warm and stay safe!

Perfect Weather. Our Friends at Candor Fire Department have the Firehouse Subs truck; stop in and grab a great sub from them, then venture down to the Owego Fire Department where the Ice Cream Rescue is serving up some yummy treats. You will be supporting two great organizations of Volunteer Firefighters. Best of all no cooking on this warm burst of weather. :)
Today’s the day Ice Cream Rescue has arrived at the Owego Fire Station. Serving 4pm-9pm daily thru 10/7. Weather looks great to enjoy some ice cream and help support you local Owego Volunteer Firefighters.
