This year, I'm taking a bold step and niching down my services to focus specifically on the hospitality industry.

Why? Because I believe in the power of specialization.

While I used to think that working with a variety of different businesses would keep me from getting bored, I've found a true passion for helping those in the hospitality industry thrive online.

From cozy bed and breakfasts to busy restaurants and wineries, these businesses create experiences that people cherish. And I'm dedicated to helping them create online experiences that match with the top-notch in-person service these businesses provide.

It's a risk, yes. But it's one I'm willing to take because of the impact I can make. By focusing my expertise, I can better understand the unique challenges and opportunities facing hospitality businesses and deliver truly exceptional results.

So, cheers to this exciting new chapter! I can't wait to partner with more incredible businesses in the hospitality industry and help them achieve their dreams. 🥂

This year - I'm focused on 'Creative Exploration'.

Things are feeling... chaotic right now.
- Social apps are changing
- AI is changing search and how we work
- Life keeps speeding up

But creativity will endure. So I will lean into creating beautiful, functional, and meaningful things.

I named my business after the Spruce tree not only because I think they are one of the coolest trees, but because they are strong, resilient, and long-lasting.

First off... I'm devastated. To say that I love TikTok is an understatement. I absolutely adore all of the creators that I've learned some amazing things from and who have made me laugh, think, and try to better myself.

Second, this is the exact thing I warn people about. When we rely on apps to inform/teach/sell to our customers, we are building on rented ground.

The absolute best thing you can do for your business? Build your email list. An email list is YOURS and cannot be deleted without your permission.

Using your socials to funnel people to your website where they can sign up to your email list is gold. Don't rely on these platforms alone.

I've been making big plans for 2025 for months now.

My word for the year is "Ex*****on," which means I need to act on those plans instead of just thinking about them.

This is the year I will:

🍷 niche my business, so I'm able to be an absolute expert in one area and provide stellar service to my clients
🏋‍♀️ work on my physical and mental health
🥰 lean into nurturing community and boosting others' big goals
🤝 hire out some business tasks that take me away from working on my business

And maybe, just maybe... wear sweatpants less? Nah! 😆

Let's hear those big audacious plans!! I'm all ears👂

I'm not a huge fan of New Year's resolutions - I don't like making myself promises I won't keep.

For example... my resolution for 2024 was to drink more red wine, and I didn't even keep that! 🤣

So instead, I will focus on dropping things that didn't serve me. Like:

- being a doormat, or people pleaser, whatever you want to call it
- not accepting help
- being negative
- diminishing myself
- not taking care of my body/mind

Making room for good habits means ditching the yucky stuff.

Let's all shed off that unnecessary sh*t this year. What are you getting rid of in 2025?

I stopped at the Barview Jetty today on my way from one appointment to the next.

I've felt rushed and overly busy for months now, so why did I spend the time not working?

🌊 My brain is stuffed full of need-tos, but for 20 minutes, I didn't need to do anything but look at beauty
🌊 Practiced shooting in manual mode with my big camera
🌊 Marveled at the different colors of water and sky
🌊 Fresh ocean air in the lungs
🌊 A new hair-do thanks to the wind

It's so important to take these tiny little opportunities to breathe and clear our heads. Especially when we are rushing, rushing, rushing.

It's a gorgeous day in San Diego! I took a solo stroll down to the beach early this morning. Loved every minute.

I wish I could replicate the lack of distractions while working from a hotel room back at home. I'm getting so much done!
