Three Rivers senior pole vaulter Noah Humbert has qualified for the Division 2 state meet following his second-place performance at today’s regional meet at Berrien Springs with a personal-best height of 13-6. Humbert made three attempts of 14-1 to break Casey Hoffman’s school record height of 14-0 but fell short. However Humbert will have three more meets in which to break the record.
Three Rivers junior track standout and sprinter Kylin Griffin scored 32.5 points in today’s Wolverine Conference Championships at Paw Paw. Griffin earned a PR in all four of her events (100-meter dash, 200, 400 and 800 relay). Griffin broke the school record in the 400 with a time of 59.54. The previous record was held by Michelle Lewis (1984) and Lexi Mayer (2016). Griffin’s performance earned her the Most Outstanding Female Athlete Award. In an interview with the Three Rivers Commercial-News, Griffin discusses her breaking the school record, her keys to success this season and her goals for the rest of the 2022 season.
