However, the truth is that no one can save you until you're ready to be saved. The people who care about you can plead with you to change your life over and over. Until you have committed to be better, to leave behind the things that consistently bring you down, then you will be stuck in whatever life you've created for yourself. There is no halfway in and halfway out when creating a new life. There has to be a death to the old. A purge of the past and a dedication to finding new beginnings. Growth isn't easy; but in the end it is sooo worth it. Take that step.

Opinion question follows: Do you think we get what we deserve, or do we get what we work hard for, what we sacrifice for?

I believe if we are willing to make sacrifices and work our butts off that we will be rewarded beyond what we ever imagined we'd have. The reward, however, is not a signal of arrival or completion. The reward is to share with those around you and inspire others to have faith in the same fashion.

Learn to be your true authentic self no matter who is around. Some people will leave, some will stay, and others will most definitely be drawn to your authenticity. In the end you will be surrounded by people who allow you to grow.

Sometimes the worst place to be is in your own head. Having the strength to overcome and be the author of your own story is often the toughest battle we will face in life. Being brave enough to face it alone, but also having the wisdom to realize when you need help and the strength to put aside pride and ask for it is the key. That is where the battle is won. You don't have to always fight alone to be the hero in your story.
