Throw Back Thursday! This is a nice write up about R. Carlos Nakai, William Eaton & Will Clipman's music. I love the descriptions of the music.

"And while Nakai does draw inspiration from landscapes, he says, he isn’t limited to the pristine; he also draws it from the rhythms and tempos of everyday life.

“I can draw my inspiration from just about any place I visit or have lived,” he said. From the flats of Montana to the murmurs of a waiting room, the view from the airplane or the wind rustling through the aspens, he said, his muses are everywhere.

When R. Carlos Nakai plays the traditional Indian flute, the music he emits sound like sandstone canyons and broken mesas, grey-green plains, billowing clouds and mountain streamlets.
